Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor was born on April 16 1996 on the 16th of April 1996 in Miami Florida. Half English and a quarter Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her was Argentine who had Scottish as well as English ancestry. Her mother is of Spanish origin. There are five siblings, four from her father's prior marriage. The family she grew up with was in Buenos Aires from the time she was just six up until the day they left for Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy admitted that moving was traumatic as she refused to take classes in English since she was hoping to go back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed from Northlands and then Hill House. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in productions. When she was 16 she decided to leave school in order to follow a full-time career path in acting. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy had a dream to work as an actress. her goals were realized when she received modeling work by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
